Capturing your child's personality in the One Year Portrait

What a year, am I right?! The first year of your child’s life is full of so many moments and milestones that have influenced that budding personality. Our goal for One Year portraits is to capture ALL of that! Here are some tips to ensure unique and wonderful portraits of your growing toddler at Logan Square Photo Studio.

A few of your child’s favorite things!

Trust me. Someday you are going to miss seeing all of those toys spread over the floor and that dingy stuffie with a missing arm. Bring along your kiddos favorite thing for a photo or two. Often these objects serve a dual purpose and can help your child get comfortable in a new space by being close to something familiar.

Recycle those birthday party decorations

Did you go a little crazy with the 1st birthday planning? That is ok! Everyone does! Bring along some of your favorites and we can include the decorations in the photos. The personal touch will be perfectly captured and bring back even more memories for your family.

Cake. Yes, Please!

We love cake and cupcakes and have some cute stands to display whatever treat you would like to bring along.

You know your child’s health the best and we don’t want to assume an ingredient is ok for your kiddo. For that reason, we do not offer cakes at the studio.

Logan Square Photo Studio highly recommend cakes and treats from Baked Chicago in Wicker Park. You choose the ingredients and make the purchase online, we can pick it up and have it ready for your session.

Include the whole family!

You all accomplished this together! Everyone in the family should come along to the photo session and be ready to smile.
