Childhood Portraits - Chicago Photo Studio
Have you ever watch the show The Goldbergs? The show follows a family, set in the 80’s. The Mother, Beverly, is one of my favorite tv characters. For me, she normalized this weirdly sentimental emotion that washes over me when I realize my kiddos are growing up. So. Fast. My eyes well with tears when I find too-small-skinny-jeans that my daughter wore to holes in the knees. I only check facebook to get the memory prompts. It’s almost a guarantee that I spend a minute composing myself after viewing my most clicked on photo from 2011.
My current weakness? Baby-teeth, new grown-up-teeth, crooked-sometimes-yellowish-teeth, I adore it all. My youngest is just about ready to lose her first tooth. The tooth is practically perpendicular to the rest of her grill. She teases me constantly with it. (I am not a fan of teeth that move!) I have never wanted something so gross to stay in her mouth forever.
Both of my daughters are off of school on Monday and if they will allow it, I am hoping to capture this moment in time…hopefully before the tooth falls out! My hope is that my girls give me just as many smiles as this beautiful Chicago family!
